Between July and August 2015, VisAbility executed its pilot project Making Ability Visible in four Sri Lankan districts. The project aimed to promote inclusion of people with disabilities by putting emphasis on their real abilities and added value for society. In each of the four locations, VisAbility offered a four days mixed-abled dance workshop for people with and without disabilities. This workshop concluded with a public performance in the center of the corresponding town/village. During the following days, VisAbility provided a workshop on disability rights.
The dates and places of the workshops were:
2-15 July in Anuradhapura
20-24 July in Polonnaruwa
6-10 August in Ampara
21-25 August in Batticaloa
