From December until February 2015, VisAbility spent time in Sri Lanka to learn more about the situation of people with disabilities in Colombo, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Batticoloa and Galle. We met and talked to different age groups of people with disabilities, mainly in the poorer areas. Furthermore, we met NGO staff, journalists, experts and academics. This trip served for the preparation of VisAbility´s pilot project Making Ability Visible, which aimed to approach four districts between July and August 2015.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සිදු කළ ගවේෂණය
2015 දෙසැම්බර් සහ ජනවාරි මාස ඇතුළත , විසැබිලිටි සංගමය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයන්ගේ තත්වය පිළිබඳ වැඩිදුර අධ්‍යයනය සඳහා කොළඹ ,ත්‍රිකුණාමලය , පොලොන්නරුව, අනුරාධපුර , මඩකලපුව සහ ගාල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික්ක තුළ සිය කාලය යොදවන ලදී . මෙහි දී ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන්, දිළිඳු ප්‍රදේශ වල වෙසෙන විවිධ වයස් කාණ්ඩවල ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයන් හමුවී කතාබහ කිරීමට අපට හැකි වුණි. තවදුරටත් අප , රාජ්‍ය නොවන ආයතන වල සාමාජිකයන් , මාධ්‍යවේදීන් , ප්‍රවීණයන් සහ ශාස්ත්‍රඥයන් හමුවන ලදී . මෙම සංචාරයේ ප්‍රතිඵලයක් ලෙස 2015 ජූලි සහ අගෝස්තු මාස තුළ දිස්ත්‍රික්ක හතරක ක්‍රියාත්මක වීමට නියමිත විසැබිලිටි හී නියාමක ව්‍යාපෘතිය වු හැකියාවන් දෘශ්‍යමාන කිරීම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා කටයුතු යෙදෙන ලදී .
